2. Pedestal Sinks
- Description: A basin on top with a pedestal base that hides the plumbing.
- Pros: Classic look, good for small bathrooms or where storage isn't needed.
- Cons: No counter space or storage, can be less stable if not installed correctly.
3. Vessel Sinks
- Description: Sits on top of the counter or vanity, resembling a bowl or basin.
- Pros: Unique design, can be a focal point, available in numerous materials like glass, stone, or copper.
- Cons: Higher splash risk, needs a higher faucet, can be harder to clean around the base.
4. Undermount Sinks
- Description: Installed beneath the countertop, creating a seamless look.
- Pros: Easy to clean around the sink area, sleek appearance, good for a modern or minimalist design.

- Pros: Easy installation, wide range of styles, works with many countertop materials.
- Cons: Rim can collect dirt, less modern look compared to undermount.
6. Console Sinks

- Pros: Offers a vintage or sophisticated look, allows for some storage underneath.
- Cons: Can be less stable, might require more space for the legs.
7. Integrated Sinks

- Pros: Seamless design, very easy to clean, durable if made from quality materials.
- Cons: More expensive, replacement can be more complex if damaged.
8. Corner Sinks
- Description: Designed to fit into the corner of a bathroom, maximizing space use.

When choosing a bathroom sink in Kleinburg, Barrie and GTA, consider the bathroom's size, the style you're aiming for, the level of maintenance you're willing to commit to, and your storage needs. Each type of sink can significantly influence the room's functionality and aesthetic.
Here's a step-by-step guide to installing a bathroom sink:
Tools and Materials Needed:
- New sink (ensure it matches your bathroom vanity or counter)
- Adjustable wrench
- Plumber's putty or silicone caulk
- Plastic or metal supply lines
- P-trap (sink drain assembly)
- Screwdriver
- Bucket or basin
- Plumber's tape (Teflon tape)
- Hacksaw or pipe cutter (if adjustments to pipes are needed)
Steps:
- Turn Off Water Supply:
- Locate the shut-off valves under the sink or behind the wall and turn them clockwise to shut off the hot and cold water supply.
- Disconnect the Old Sink:
- Place a bucket underneath to catch any water.
- Disconnect the P-trap by loosening the slip nuts.
- Disconnect the supply lines from the faucet with an adjustable wrench.
- Remove any clips or screws holding the sink in place, then lift or slide out the old sink.
- Prepare the New Sink:
- If your sink comes with a new faucet and drain, install them according to the manufacturer's instructions. Otherwise, transfer the old faucet and drain to the new sink if they are in good condition.
- Apply plumber's putty or silicone caulk around the drain to create a seal.
- Install the Sink:
- If it's an undermount sink, apply silicone caulk to the rim where the sink will attach to the underside of the counter.
- For a drop-in sink, apply the sealant to the top edge where it will sit on the vanity or counter.
- Carefully lower or mount the sink into place. Ensure it's level and secure it with clips or screws as per your sink's design.
- Connect the Plumbing:
- Attach the drain assembly to the sink. Ensure all connections are tight but don't over-tighten.
- Connect the P-trap to the drain tailpiece and wall drain. Use plumber's tape on all threaded connections to prevent leaks.
- Connect the supply lines to the faucet inlets and then to the water shut-off valves. Make sure these connections are snug.
- Check for Leaks:
- Slowly turn the water supply back on by turning the valves counterclockwise.
- Check all connections for leaks. If you spot any, turn off the water, tighten the connection, and check again.
- Final Adjustments:
- Make any final adjustments to the sink's position if needed.
- Apply more caulk around the edge of the sink if necessary for a clean finish.
- Clean Up:
- Clean up any excess caulk or plumber's putty with a cloth or razor blade for a neat look.
Tips:
- If the new sink is a different size than the old one, you might need to adjust or replace parts of the plumbing.
- If you're not confident with this task, consider hiring a professional plumber, especially if you encounter issues with existing plumbing.

I recently used townhouse plumbing for some plumbing issues and he was absolutely great scheduling was super easy and he was really friendly and helpful. He showed up on time and so professional he quickly figured out what was wrong with my leaky faucet and clogged the drain. explained everything to me in a way I could understand and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need the work was done quickly and really well. The price was also excellent what they said it would be no surprises, and it was totally reasonable for the quality work. He even gave me tips on how to avoid future plumbing problems, which I thought was really thoughtful. Overall, I had such a great experience and will definitely call them again if I need a plumber highly recommend their services.

We had a backed up main drain at our house, we called Townhouse Plumbing to get it fixed. They replied right away and had someone come to snake it out. They were able to get the drain unclogged and cleaned up after themselves when they finished. Very good experience dealing with them.

Seen Townhouse plumbing was local and gave them a call for a toilet that was leaking water into the basement when being flushed and low pressure of the water on my kitchen sink faucet. They were quick to schedule me in and get there quick, they had to replace the toilet flange , wax ring and new replacement lines for the kitchen to replace what the old homeowners work under the sink and even showed me the pieces and problems they fixed! Would highly recommend them very professional and cleaned up afterwards, service was awesome thank you!
